ARTEMIS ANNOUNCES NEW LEADING INTEGRATED COST & SCHEDULE SOLUTION Artemis Views 7.3 Delivers New Capabilities for Complex Integrated Cost/Schedule Management and EVMS Compliance NEWPORT BEACH, CA – January 17, 2006 – Artemis International Solutions Corporation (OTCBB: AMSI), a global provider of Investment Planning and Control™ solutions, announces the availability of the latest release of Artemis Views, its leading integrated cost and schedule solution for managing programs that require integrated project scheduling and earned value management.
“Large Department of Defense (DOD) programs, whether they are cost or schedule driven, require a much tighter cost and schedule integration, to support both the intent of today’s earned value management requirements and facilitate the successful execution of these complex programs,” said Patrick Ternier, CEO and president of Artemis International Solutions Corporation. “With this latest release of Artemis Views, our customers have the most advanced and scalable solution available for managing all programs and complying with today’s EVMS requirements.”
Key enhancements available in Artemis Views 7.3 include:
- Three-point estimating techniques to further support the DOD Integrated Master Plan (IMP)/ Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) risk assessments and corrective action planning;
- Multiple Schedule Views providing different views of the schedule for updating the IMP/IMS schedule, the master schedule, the subcontractors plan, or the Control Account Managers (CAM) monthly update;
- Fiscal period estimate-to-complete (ETC) planning is now available in the scheduling view, allowing CAMs to update both schedules and accurate estimate at complete (EACs) at the same time;
- Advanced cost/schedule integration allowing organizations to review, analyze and compare the results of the schedule changes and what-ifs, in a fully priced, fiscal time-phased view, before committing the changes to the baseline or EAC and capability to translate these into alternate cost plans, in the same project database
“Artemis Views 7.3 delivers specific capabilities requested by many of our Integrated Cost and Schedule clients throughout the world to support the growing maturity of their EVM process management and reporting needs,” said Bob McCowan, senior vice president, Artemis International Solutions Corporation.
One of these clients, Lockheed has thousands of Artemis users deployed throughout the United States to support their program management and Earned Value reporting requirements. The Artemis solution can be found in many business areas supporting small contracts to multi billion dollar programs, from aircraft and satellite development, missile system development as well as specialized integrated software solution programs. Many of the programs Lockheed has won present unique contract teaming and EVMS requirements. Artemis has proven very flexible, and has been able to scale to the level of complexity each program has presented, supporting both prime and sub-contract requirements.
“EVM systems that contain frequently updated data, use a Web architecture, and blend a scheduler, an EVM engine, and analysis tools do the best job of notifying decision-makers of critical project variances in time to implement corrective action,” said Michael Burkett, research director for AMR Research, in a 2002 report entitled Revamping Earned Value Management Reporting To Increase Profit.
New Artemis Integrated Cost & Schedule Organization
Artemis also announced the formation of a new IC&S organization dedicated to the development and marketing of its Integrated Cost & Schedule solutions. Reporting to Bob McCowan, senior vice president, the team is headed by John Paul, IC&S solution director; Ron Smith, IC&S consulting director; Leo Rodriguez, IC&S technical director; Steve Rice, IC&S sales director; and Steve McAllister and Anne Jensen providing IC&S support and account management.
